Delete your account

You can delete your Sky for Two account and everything in it at any time. It takes a minute in the app, and it's immediate.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Sky for Two and go to the Us tab.
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete my account, then Delete everything. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more so Sky for Two is disconnected from your Apple Account too.

Want a copy first? On the same screen, Export my data gives you a zip of your entries, answers, photos and voice notes.

By email (if you can't open the app)

Write to support@skyfortwo.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address you use for Sky for Two. If you sign in with Apple or Google, tell us which, and send it from the email linked to that account (or the "Hide My Email" relay address if you used one). We may ask one question to make sure the request comes from you, then delete the account within 7 days and write back to confirm.

What is deleted

Deleted immediately

  • Your account, sign-in and profile: your name, light, city, time zone, sleep hours, birthday and settings.
  • Everything you wrote and made: answers, letters, glimpses, check-ins, Journal entries and their notes, Talk it through cards, gift ideas, wishes and reactions.
  • Your photos and voice notes, and any exports you made.
  • What you described about your partner before they joined.
  • Your phones' notification tokens, your notification settings, pending notifications and records of phones moving between accounts.
  • Our subscription provider RevenueCat's record of your purchases.
  • Your Sign in with Apple connection, which we revoke with Apple.

Kept for a limited time

  • A partner's read-only space, up to 30 days. If a partner is still in your shared space, they keep their own words and a read-only view of what's left of the space for 30 days, then it's deleted. Your own content is already gone.
  • Backups, up to 30 days. Our database host keeps short rolling backups for disaster recovery; deleted data leaves them within 30 days.
  • Usage events and crash reports. These never contain what you wrote. They are tied to a random account ID that no longer matches anyone, and are deleted within 24 months.
  • Purchase records. If you bought Plus, Apple or Google keep their own record of the purchase as tax and accounting law requires.

If you subscribe to Plus

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, because Apple or Google bills it. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; here's how.

Other choices

  • Delete one thing. You can delete a Journal entry or other item you wrote from inside the app without deleting your account.
  • Leave your partner but keep your account. Us > Leave this sky ends the shared space, with the option to delete everything you wrote right away.
